Communion
What does it mean to truly belong? This message takes us on a journey back to the very beginning, to a garden where communion with God was not a ritual but a reality, and then forward to the cross where that communion was restored at the highest possible cost. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 11, we explore the Lord's Supper not as a mere tradition or symbolic gesture, but as a living, Spirit-empowered act of remembrance, participation, and anticipation. We are reminded that we were created for relationship with God, that sin fractured that relationship, and that Christ's death and resurrection tore down the wall of hostility that stood between us and the Father. Every time we take the bread and the cup, we are proclaiming that the penalty has been paid, that we are forgiven, and that we have bold access to a holy God. This is not casual. This is the heartbeat of what it means to be the church gathered together.
